Sometimes we need a break between heavy meals and excitements for the tastebuds. That’s when we prefer something as soothing as mom’s cooking or NMC noodles, which is nevertheless delicious and healthful.
While the combination of heavy soup and toppings have become the trend among noodles places, NMC introduces a whole different set of aesthetics to the noodle scene. The traditional farmer village styled restaurant takes pride in serving rice vermicelli with quality fresh toppings in MSG-free broth.
Based on traditional Chinese philosophy of food and health, the broth comes in different variations as to provide different tastes and health benefits. Sweet, soothing, delicious and natural tasting, the broths won popularity of Hongkongers.
There are four options, and the most popular is the coconut chicken broth rice noodles. The stock is made from boiling black fungus, water chestnuts, bean curd, red dates and fresh chicken with carrots and other vegetables. Fresh coconut juice and coconut flesh are added at the end, giving the soup a strong, sweet, coconut aroma.
For those who like coconut chicken soup but with a spicy tang, go for the satay chicken broth rice noodles with mushrooms, black fungus and bean curd. The black garlic chicken soup rice noodles, instead of using black garlic oil like other noodle shops, minced black garlic is added to the chicken broth, accentuating the sweetness without any oiliness. The soups can be ordered with shrimp, sole fillet or pork cartilage instead of chicken.
At NMC, you will have the most gentle but rich, pleasant noodle soup experience that is refreshing in taste, nurturing by heart.
