Formerly New Order, the owners of YEARS were inspired by their trip in New Zealand two years ago. The peaceful coexistence of humans and animals in rural New Zealand reminds the owners that we and the animals are friends, not enemies, hence the transformation of their restaurant.

The cafe is cozy, but sometimes need to wait for a while to get in.

Food in the restaurant is plant-based, with a selection of mains, snacks and dessert. The Impossible burger is most people’s go-to order. “Impossible” refers to the Impossible beef patty in the burger made of vegan protein, fat and binders. Its wow factor is that it in fact tastes like real patty, just as juicy, meaty and beefy! Though the rockets might not be everyone’s favourite, it and the vegan cheese (probably vegan yoghurt) together make the burger more refreshing. The crispy sweet potato fries are also a delicious filling side.

Their Japanese family style meal and creamy risottos are favourites of many customers. With strong bonds with partnering companies, YEARS uses a variety of local products. Not only do they use locally produced vegetables and tea leaves from Lai Chi Wo and Sheung Shui, they also sell festive products such as vegan mooncakes for the Mid-Autumn Festival. Their menus vary from time to time as their chefs devise new dishes, so be an adventurous eater!

Not only do YEARS attract customers because of their foods, the relaxing atmosphere and minimalistic interior of the restaurant makes it a nice café for family and friends to gather. It is known as a “fake-artistic teen” café too so don’t forget to take some pictures for your Instagram feed.
