The Center is the fifth tallest building in Hong Kong and makes up the part of Hong Kong’s famous Skyline. It’s 346 m tall and has 73 storeys. It’s one of the few skyscrapers here in Hong Kong entirely made from steel material with no concrete core which is why it’s among one of the most tall steel buildings in the world.

An aerial view of the building

As the fifth tallest building in Hong Kong, it serves a really important role in the Symphony of Lights Laser Show that occurs in Victoria Harbour every night. It also has light arrangement and festivities on special occasions such as New Year,  The Center has never missed a show and has performed by constantly changing the light color of its outerior each and every 10 seconds. The Hong Kong locals have thus creatively made a nick-name for this building, “The Chameleon Building”. Just like a living chameleon as it changes its color from time to time!

Surprisingly, The Center is not only home to corporations and offices but also many NGOs. It consists of public space and provides a common ground for people to mix and mingle, perform arts shows, talks, andhost exhibitions.

The building is best seen together with the whole majestic skyline of Hong Kong to admire its beauty. It surely is an exceptional building to check out and pride about with the many aesthetic clicks you can take when you visit!
