Wooloomooloo Steakhouse have perhaps the top location of all the best rooftop restaurants and bars in Hong Kong, located right in the heart of Wan Chai. With fantastic food and drinks, it often ranking as one the best rooftop bar in the world.
Housed in the 31st floor of the Hennessy Building, the Wooloomooloo restaurant is a chic, rustic interior steakhouse with classy, clean-cut dark tables. The main dining area is surrounded by floor-to-ceiling windows, showcasing a bustling city underneath and a glimpse of the Victoria Harbour.
Steaks are predominantly Australian, with a few from the US on offer. While fries and potato gratin come highly recommended, it is the hash browns that are perfectly executed, served with a dollop of sour cream, scallions and crisp bits of bacon.
The steakhouse restaurant is one floor down from the amazing and open-air rooftop terrace, which serve more of a bar snack menu. So make a combo of rooftop dinner and drinks at both restaurant and terrace, or just enjoy a cocktail, the great atmosphere and the absolutely amazing “all-of-HK”-views at the rooftop bar.
While you can (and really should) make reservations for dinner in the restaurant, the rooftop bar works on a walk-in basis. So be in good time for the best front-row spots to the views.
Wooloomooloo rooftop has an easy-going and vibrant atmosphere, with a resident DJ turning the soft afternoon vibe up a bit every evening from 7pm.
