While everyone is craving for the Taiwanese bubble tea, you should go for the Taiwanese roti! This flavorful crunchiness from +5C has captured the hearts of many locals because you can always play around with a variety of ingredients to get a different taste each time. Prices vary, depending on what ingredients you would like but any combinations would cost below $45. You can grab the order form at the counter and tick whatever you want from the list of over 25 choices.

Sandwiched with chef-recommended ingredients that include cheese, grilled chicken and seaweed, the made-to-order roti ($38) might burn your mouth if you are not patient, so wait for at least 5 – 10 minutes before you dig in. The flatbread is crispy, fluffy and already decently seasoned with spices. A hint of smokiness from the seaweed is complementary to the grilled chicken in melted cheese. Though it can be quite filling for one person, the savory burst of yumminess is no joke.

Yummy!

There is also another food stall right around the corner selling similar food but with a slight twist – they use the flatbread made out of ube instead. People say the two are equally good but truth be told, the latter one is said to be copycatting the recipes of +5C, which is the first food stall at Tai On Building selling the Taiwanese roti. Well, before doing justice – why not both?
