Whether you are an architecture lover, an art fan, an urban life passionista, or all three, you are going to enjoy the Fringe Club.

Housed in the historic building of the Old Dairy Farm Depot, the Fringe Club is one of the most vibrant art spaces in Hong Kong for (mainly) visual arts exhibitions and theatrical productions.

It is located at Lang Kwai Fong (LKF) where is one of the busiest areas in Hong Kong.

Built in 1892 as a cold storage factory of the Old Dairy Farm Depot, the late Victorian eclectic styled building has been well preserved and revitalized as an art hub. While in Central, you can easily spot this Grade-I heritage building by its iconic red and white brick facade.

The Fringe Club has been avidly supporting the arts in Hong Kong since 1984 – both emerging and professional artists can use its facilities for exhibitions and performance rent-free. Known for its open platform, The Fringe Club allows anyone with creative materials to put on a show. From musical performance and drama to poetry reading and stand-up comedies, it is the place to indulge in Hong Kong’s dynamic arts scene.

Until now, the club has been used as the base for many art festivals. It has presented thousands of shows and exhibitions, including its own productions and site-specific works, for example, immersive exhibition-cross-theatre.

Apart from staff offices, The Fringe Club has two studio theatres, three exhibition areas (including a photography gallery), a rehearsal room, a restaurant, and a roof garden which is a great spot for a drink.

Hong Kong’s iconic neon signs

For a mellow hangout in Lang Kwai Fong (LKF), the Fringe Club’s rooftop bar is just the perfect spot. And the Fringe Club just makes it even nicer by offering happy hour deals as well as tapas for an after work chill-out.
