TOUR INFO

Thirty years after Hong Kong decriminalized same-sex sexual acts between consenting male adults in private, is Hong Kong becoming a more inclusive society for its LGBT community?

While ViuTV’s “Ossan’s Love”, a drama about a mid-age married man falling in love with a young man, has proved to be a big hit, people with opposite views also brought up equally controversial comments about the LGBT community.

So, we are to ask the question: how do today’s Hong Kong society and the LGBT community coexist?

In this walking tour, we will lead you through the historical landmarks of LGBT in Central, visit their gathering locations and get to know their communities. You will learn that LGBT rights in Hong Kong is not only about activism and TV series, but also touching stories written by each and every life in their community!
