Left Luggage Service – Lifting The Weight off Your Shoulders

If you want to have fun round and about without worrying about your luggage, left luggage service is definitely your choice! This article will cover some common left luggage services other than that provided by your hotel, and hopefully to lift the weight off your shoulders.

1. Hong Kong International Airport 
Address:
5/F, Arrival level, Terminal 1, Hong Kong International Airport, 1 Sky Plaza Road, Chek Lap Kok
Opening hours: 05:30 – 01:30
Planned a Hong Kong day trip? Drop your luggage at the baggage service. Luggage with total dimensions (length x width x height) not exceeding 199cm and weight not heavier than 30kg will be charged at standard rate (HKD12/ piece hourly; HKD140/ piece daily), whichever the less. It is best for transit travelers to drop their luggage immediately upon arrival, and pick it up before checking in for the next flight. Payments shall be made upon collection. Multiple methods like cash, credit cards and digital wallets are accepted.

2. Airport Express station 
Address:

Hong Kong Station: In-town Check-in Hall, G/F (Nearby Exit B)
Kowloon Station: In-town Check-in Hall, G/F
Tsing Yi Station: Customer service centre, U2/F
Opening hours: 06:00 – 01:00
The left luggage service provided in three of the Airport Express stations are for those who want a spontaneous trip just round the corner. Hong Kong Station, Kowloon Station and Tsing Yi Station situated in the centre of the city have a few high-end shopping malls such as IFC, ICC and Elements nearby, where you can shop for luxury brands and fashion. Drop your luggage at the In-town Check-in Hall and pay by cash upon collection. Each item below the standard dimensions (85cm x 85cm x 29cm) and 30kg will be charged at HKD60 for storage up to 3 hours; or HKD87 for storage of 3-24 hours; or HKD133 for every additional 24 hours.

3. Shun Tak Centre 
Address:
Shop G02, G/F, 200 Connaught Road Central, Sheung Wan (6-minute walk from Sheung Wan MTR Station Exit E4)
Opening hours: 06:45 – 23:59
Located by the Hong Kong – Macau Ferry Terminal, city hoppers travelling to Macau may drop their luggage at the Luggage Services Centre of Shun Tak Centre. It is charged HKD30 every 3 hours and HKD110 for the entire day. An additional HKD10 will be charged hourly overnight. 

4. China Hong Kong City
Address:
Concierge, UG/F, China Ferry Terminal, 33 Canton Road, Tsim Sha Tsui  (8-minute walk from Tsim Sha Tsui MTR Station Exit A1)
Opening hours: 10:00 – 22:00
Drop your luggage at the Arrival Hall of the China Ferry Terminal and hop on a ferry across the border to Macau and parts of Mainland China including Zhuhai, Zhongshan, Shunde and Panyu District. Luggage are charged according to their sizes, which ranges from HKD30-70 every two hours.

5. Hong Kong Disneyland 
Address:
Park Promenade (Luggage valet service); Main Street, U.S.A. (Locker rental)
Opening hours: 10:30 – 19:30
In the world of dreams and fantasy, don’t let the weight of luggages ruin your day. Their luggage valet service by the Park Promenade near MTR Disneyland Resort Station is where you can store your luggage of any size at the rate of HKD130/ piece. Locker rental is also available at Main Street, U.S.A. in the park. 

6. Hong Kong Ocean Park
Address:
180 Wong Chuk Hang Road, Aberdeen, Hong Kong
Opening hours: 10:00 – 18:00
To ensure an enjoyable experience for visitors, luggage over 56cm x 36cm x 23cm are prohibited in the park and shall be deposited at the Baggage Rental Counter located at Waterfront otherwise. HKD130 would be charged per item. Lockers found around the park charge at different rates, some hourly and the rest daily. 

Here you go. A few left luggage service options for transit travellers, day trippers or city hoppers. These pennies will be well-spent to help you travel light and get the best experience of it all. Keep an eye on the overweight charges if applicable.
