One of the most well-known restaurants in Kowloon City (if not the most well-known one), the founders of Islam Food have been in the F&B industry in Hong Kong for over sixty years and have since opened two branches of the restaurant in Kowloon City.
Founded in the 1980s, Islam Food is halal-certified and one of the few Chinese Islamic Restaurants in Hong Kong. Once you walk into the restaurant, you’ll notice immediately that everybody will have an order of the pan-fried beef bun. Make sure you don’t miss out on those — they’re amazing!
Slightly crispy on the outside, the bun is a bit like a soup dumpling as it overflows with their signature beef soup and veal goulash patty, oftentimes bursting and dribbling out after the first bite. make sure to take a small bite and let the soup cool down first so you don’t burn yourself.
People come from all corners of Hong Kong for a bite of the signature Islamic beef patties at this halal restaurant. Other highlights include the curry mutton, curry beef brisket, and pan fried beef/mutton dumplings.
As one of the few, and best, halal restaurants in Hong Kong, Islam Food keeps winning over loyal patrons thanks to those juice-packed patties, as well as the tender lamb curry and beef brisket noodles. Everything here is cheap as chips and tasty as hell but prepare to wait in line for a taste.
