Starting from the nearest MTR station, going uphill for just 15 minutes, you’ll be watching the most appealing sunset in the city, followed by the fancy night view.

Hidden in the concrete jungle

Instead of hiking a couple of hours, the less-than-100-metre knoll is like a backyard located amidst the bustling cosmopolis that costs only a few minutes to the summit. Much shorter than those skyscrapers though, it is believed to be a romantic rendezvous due to the gorgeous angle of sunset and night view. Needless to say, the cloistered location is popular for joggers!

How to go?

Situated in the back of Garden Centre, going there is super easy. Make your starting point at Exit D2, Sham Shui Po MTR Station, then go along with Kweilin Street to the direction of Mei Ho House, the YHA Youth Hostel. You’ll not pass it through but find the path uphill on the right side of the hostel, in which there’re stairways.

Go along with Kweilin Street to the direction of Mei Ho House
Cross the road at traffic light
Turn right and go though this playground
you will see this centre
This path is between the centre and Mei ho House. Don’t miss it!
you will see a long staircase, keep going up

A different angle of night view

Upon going up the hill, you’ll gradually see the city that is layered from the old town Sham Shui Po to Stoncutters’ Bridge at the front while Lion Rock and Shek Kip Mei are at the back. On the way, don’t forget to snap some photos as there’re not many places offering a wide angle.

More importantly, no rush after the sunset, lest you’ll miss another ravishing scene. Despite the lack of seascape, it’s still the typical picture depicting a myriad of lights – a lively city.
