Imagine chilling on the beach, sipping on your cool drink in the sun, hearing the waves crashing on the beach, feeling the gentle breeze brushing on your face…… Finally, you can relax and find peace in yourself. Maybe that is what you long for after a long period of hustle and bustle.

Cheung Sha Beach is exactly where you need to be if you feel like a break from the mundane affairs. It is the longest beach in Hong Kong that stretches from the upper to lower Cheung Sha Beach for 3 kilometers.

The upper Cheung Sha Beach in the south is longer and more spacious. It could be your first choice if you just want to be away from the crowds and enjoy a quiet time on the beach.

You can also spend a joyous day with your family and friends in one of the seven barbecue pits there. Although less civilization can be seen in the southern part of the beach, you can still rest assured as it has toilets, changing rooms and showering facilities.

But if you are looking for more, you can always walk northward to the Lower Cheung Sha Beach to find a wide range of restaurants, bars and shops.

This area is perfect for active and sporty visitors to try different water sports like surfing, windsurfing, kayaking and paddle-boarding. The northern beach is smaller in size, but it would definitely make a more instagrammable spot with its stunning scenery.

The white sand is fine and soft, its waters clean and clear, so make sure to get your feet in the sand and water, maybe that can help you completely relax!
